
Accademia Vicino di Accumoli 2025 - Johann Strauss Workshop 2025
From 19th to 25th August 2025 the repertoire of the Strauss family, serves as the foundation for this year’s music academy, shaping the concert programs that will be developed.

The Accademia Vicino di Accumoli brings together young musicians from all over the world in the Italian Apennines to gain in-depth musical experience as part of a summer orchestra academy, which also aims to promote musical talent from the region.

Program
The program includes a Johann Strauss workshop, theoretical and practical orchestra lessons and orchestra rehearsals as well as specialist lectures on the reconstruction process, programs on local culture and history, tastings and celebrations with the local citizens. The program also includes musical interactions with the local band and choirs of Accumoli and Amatrice.

Public Events
Public events include concerts in Norcia, a musical interaction with the Accumoli band, musical accompaniment for the memorial services of the anniversary of the earthquake and a memorial concert. In addition, Wolfgang A. Mozart’s ‘Salzburg Symphony No. 1’ will be performed.

Registration and questions can be sent to us at any time. Participation is free of charge, but travel and accommodation costs (from €35 per night) are to be covered by participants. Those interested can already register at office@accademiavicino.eu
